# Meet the Developer & Owner

Smart Notifications is developed by [Kieran Masterton](https://kieranmasterton.com/), a UK-based, former Shopify employee with experience of working in the Shopify API and Plus teams. When you get in touch you’ll get a personal reply.

### **The Back Story**

Kieran has been working in the web industry, as a developer, consultant, and product owner, for over 20 years. He joined Shopify in early 2017 as one of the first remote Plus employees in Europe and quickly gained a reputation internally as a go-to resource for technical solutions.

Today, in addition to his role as founder of Smart Order Notifications, Kieran works as an [independent Shopify Technical Architect](https://kieranmasterton.com) helping Shopify agencies and app developers translate complex business requirements into clear technical solutions.
